Supplemental Oxygen Systems: Helping Patients Get What They Need Webinar to be Held November 22, 2019

Keith Siegel posted on November 14, 2019

November is COPD Awareness Month, and the US COPD Coalition continues its work to raise awareness of COPD and the issues patients face, particularly in the area of access to oxygen. Please join us for the second installment of our webinar series that will help individuals better understand their options around oxygen therapy. To view a recording of our initial webinar, hwls on October 16, 2019, click here: Medicare and Oxygen Webinar Recording (You will be required to enter your name and email address to view the webinar recording).

In our first webinar, we heard from representatives from Medicare who explained the rules under which Medicare operates when it comes to paying for oxygen. In this next webinar, you will hear from a panel consisting of a pulmonary physician, a pulmonary nurse practitioner, and a COPD patient. The discussion will be moderated by a respiratory therapist. Our panel will discuss options for supplemental oxygen systems, and how to work with the system to obtain what you need.

Our distinguished panelists for this event include:

Jerry Krishnan, MD, PhD - Associate Vice Chancellor, Population Health Sciences Program; Executive Director, Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design; Professor of Medicine & Public Health ~ University of Illinois at Chicago

Kathleen O. Lindell, PhD, RN, ATSF, FAAN - Associate Professor of Medicine & Nursing, University of Pittsburgh Dorothy P. & Richard P. Simmons Center for Interstitial Lung Disease at UPMC

Valerie Chang, JD - Vice-Chair, US COPD Coalition; Chair, Hawaii COPD Coalition

Sam Giordano, MBA, RRT, FAARC - Chair, US COPD Coalition

Please register and join us on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 4:00 pm EST After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
