Maryland Alpha-1 Association Support Group Meeting

When: Saturday, August 18, 2012 11:00AM-2:00PM

Where: Medical Pavilion at Howard County Wellness Center 10710 Charter Drive, Suite 100, Columbia MD 21044

Alpha-1, pulmonary patients, their family members/caregivers and professionals affiliated with pulmonary disease are welcome to attend. The support group encourages group members to become active and assist in planning furture meeting agendas, education, and support needs. If you are unale to attend please contact Bruce miles and make sure he has your correct contact information for future meetings.

Featured Speaker: Miriam O'Day, Senior Director of Public Policy, Alpha-1 Assocation, Alpha-1 Foundation, and the COPD Foundation

Directions:

Wellness Center Medical Pavilion at Howard County

10710 Charter Drive, Suite 100 Columbia, MD 21044

PLEASE NOTE: The Wellness Center is now located in the Medical Pavilion at Howard County (MPHC). Enter the MPHC at the main entrance to the first floor. Take a right just past the stairs, proceed to the second door on the left, Suite 100, located across from the deli.

From Baltimore

  • Take Baltimore Beltway 695 to Exit 16 - Route 70 West toward Frederick (this exit is after Security Boulevard.)
  • Exit at Route 29 South - toward Columbia.
  • Continue on Route 29 to Exit 18, Broken Land Parkway. Upon exiting, stay in the left lane (west) and turn left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Broken Land Parkway.
  • At first traffic light, turn left onto Hickory Ridge Road.
  • You will pass Howard Community College on your right.
  • Turn right on Charter Drive, which is before you reach the traffic light at Sunny Spring Rd.
  • The Medical Pavilion at Howard County (MPHC) is the second building on your right after turning onto Charter Drive.
  • Enter the MPHC at the main entrance to the first floor.
  • Take a right just past the stairs, proceed to the second door on the left, Suite 100, located across from the deli.

 

From Baltimore taking 95 South

 

  • Take 95 South to Exit 38-B - Route 32 West.
  • Follow Route 32 to exit 17 for Cedar Lane. Upon exiting, bear right onto Cedar Lane.
  • Continue on Cedar Lane (approximately 2.5 miles) - after the third traffic light, stay in right lane and Howard County General Hospital is located on the right just before the intersection of Cedar Lane and Little Patuxent Parkway.
  • After you turn, the hospital will be on your left, but go straight ahead through the stop signs and past the parking garage on your right and then turn right (this is Charter Drive).
  • Take the first left into the parking lot of The Medical Pavilion at Howard County (MPHC).
  • Enter the MPHC at the main entrance to the first floor.
  • Take a right just past the stairs, proceed to the second door on the left, Suite 100, located across from the deli.

 

From Frederick

  • Take Route 70 East towards Baltimore.
  • Bear right onto 32 East towards Columbia.
  • Follow Route 32 to Exit 17 for Cedar Lane. At the light, turn left onto Cedar Lane.
  • Continue on Cedar Lane (approximately 2.5 miles) - after the third traffic light, stay in right lane and Howard County General Hospital is located on the right just before the intersection of Cedar Lane and Little Patuxent Parkway.
  • After you turn, the hospital will be on your left, but go straight ahead through the stop signs and past the parking garage on your right and then turn right (this is Charter Drive).

From Washington D.C. and Points South

 

  • Take Route 95 North or Route 29 North from the Beltway 495 to exit 38B for Route 32 West towards Columbia.
  • Follow Route 32 to exit 17 for Cedar Lane. Upon exiting, bear right onto Cedar Lane.

  • Take Route 50 West to Exit 21 for Interstate 97 North. Follow Interstate 97 to Exit 7 Route 32 West towards Columbia.
  • Follow Route 32 to exit 17 for Cedar Lane. Upon exiting, bear right onto Cedar Lane.
  • Continue on Cedar Lane (approximately 2.5 miles) - after the third traffic light, stay in right lane and Howard County General Hospital is located on the right just before the intersection of Cedar Lane and Little Patuxent Parkway.
