Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Second National COPD Conference December 2nd and 3rd. Your dedication to helping improve the lives of everyone affected by COPD was clear and lots of great ideas for what we can all do into the future were shared. The Conference was just the start though, everyone has a role to play in making sure all the great ideas are implemented! Check back here soon for slide presentations and audio recordings of Conference sessions.

The U.S. COPD Coalition at Work

The members of the U.S. COPD Coalition benefit from the Coalition’s relationship as a primary liaison to the Congressional COPD Caucus. They are able to present their advocacy voices to the Caucus in a unified and efficient manner.

Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), is the founding member and current Senate co-chair of the Congressional COPD Caucus. He is joined by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Representatives John Lewis (D-Georgia) and Cliff Stearns (R-Florida).

The members of the Congressional Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Caucus share the goal of promoting awareness of COPD, the third leading cause of death in the United States. The Congressional COPD Caucus seeks to improve the lives of patients affected with COPD by fostering research, ensuring access to care, promoting early detection and diagnosis, and prevention.

Please follow this link to a listing of the members of the Congressional COPD Caucus. If your members of Congress are already members of the Caucus, please thank them. If not, please urge them to join it now by following the instructions on the page.
